These Terms of Service govern your use of the FindMyIP service available at findmyip.xyz, including all related subdomains, APIs, and supporting infrastructure. By accessing or using the service, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
FindMyIP is a free web-based diagnostic tool that provides public IP address lookup, internet speed testing, and port reachability checking. The service is provided as-is on a best-effort basis, without any warranty of accuracy, availability, or fitness for any particular purpose.
You agree to use the service only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit anyone else's use of the service. Prohibited uses include but are not limited to: attempting to scan or probe networks you do not own or have explicit permission to test; using automated tools to make excessive requests beyond the published rate limits; attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, or bypass any access controls or rate limits implemented by the service; attempting to use the service as a proxy to attack or scan third-party systems; uploading or transmitting malicious code, viruses, or any content designed to interfere with the service; and using the service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations in your jurisdiction.
The port checker feature enforces same-IP scanning only. You may use it only to check ports on the public IP address from which you are accessing the service. Attempts to scan other IP addresses will be rejected and may result in your access being blocked.
The port checking API is rate-limited to 30 requests per minute and 300 requests per day per IP address. Speed testing has no enforced rate limit but consumes significant bandwidth — please use it responsibly. Excessive automated use of any feature may result in temporary or permanent blocking of your IP address from the service.
Speed test results, latency measurements, and port reachability checks are provided for informational purposes only. The service makes a best effort to produce accurate results but cannot guarantee precision. Speed measurements are inherently subject to many variables outside our control, including but not limited to your device's hardware, browser implementation, network conditions, and load on the test endpoints. Results may differ from those produced by other speed testing tools. Do not rely on these measurements for any purpose where precise accuracy is required, such as legal proceedings, regulatory filings, or contractual disputes, without independent verification.
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any specific time, or that any defects will be corrected.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall FindMyIP, its operators, contributors, or affiliated parties be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the service. This includes any reliance you place on measurements, reports, or other information provided by the service. Your sole and exclusive remedy for dissatisfaction with the service is to stop using it.
The service relies on several third-party services to function, including but not limited to Cloudflare for speed testing endpoints, ipinfo.io and ipwho.is for IP address lookup, Netlify for static file hosting, and Railway for the port checking backend. These services have their own terms of service and privacy policies that apply when their services are used through FindMyIP. We are not responsible for the operations, content, or policies of these third-party services.
FindMyIP may display advertisements provided by third-party advertising networks. We do not control the content of these advertisements or the practices of the advertisers. Your interactions with any advertisements are solely between you and the advertiser. We are not responsible for any loss or damage of any sort incurred as the result of any such dealings or as the result of the presence of advertisers on the service.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the service.
We may revise these Terms of Service from time to time. The most current version will always be posted on this page with the last-updated date. By continuing to use the service after revisions take effect, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in the courts located in New York.
